i had the original version for my son (i think there’s a 2.0 one or something now right?) and it constantly gave me false alarms 😣 idk if i wasn’t using it right but at least once a week i was awoken to the owlet telling me my son’s oxygen was low but he was actually fine. but most people ive known who had it didn’t have this issue, so i personally wouldn’t buy it again but it can be a nice peace of mind (as long as it works haha).

Oh my gosh that will give me a freaking heart attack. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen if we get one. You must've totally freaked out! I was just thinking it would be a nice peace of mind though. Do you think maybe yours was broken?

im not sure :/ the support people told me that it can happen and as long as it’s getting a reading (even if it’s false) it doesn’t indicate that the device isn’t working, they thought it might be user-error. it definitely freaked me out and i stopped using it after it kept happening. but ive never known anyone else to consistently get false alarms, so it was either my device or me doing something wrong, or maybe my sons feet are just weird 🤔😂 if you’d like the peace of mind and have the budget for it, it’s definitely still worth the try! like i said idk anyone else who had the same problem.

omg hahaha I'm sure his feet are not weird 😂 I'm thinking it was probably the device or maybe it was coming too loose to get a good read. I think we'll probably go for it. It's good to know you at least haven't heard of anyone having the same issue. That makes me feel like it just had to be the device and the tech support people just didn't want to send a new one. 🙄

Everyone I personally know who bought one didn't regret it but I never used one myself.

I have it and only used it a couple of times bc it gave a lot of false alarms like when we should be kicking her legs. I just use the video monitor and I can see her breathing on it
