My son always knew what locks on doors were but never messed with them...well today he learned that when he is mad at me or when he is in trouble he locks himself in his room! Guess who currently doesn’t have a door to their room and is throwing a fit about it 😂 don’t mess with momma boy!

My daughter did that a couple times so we turned around the knob so the lock is on the outside. She still locks herself in haha she thinks it’s magic that I can still open it!

You could try turning the doorknob around so the lock is on the outside. A friend of mine does that with her little girl because her bedroom is on the third floor and she doesn't want her coming out and falling down three flights of stairs so when she goes down for her nap we lock the door ( by we I mean I babysit for her once a week)

Change the door handles into ones that don’t lock. We just recently switched out my daughters room, playroom as well as bathroom. Just to make sure she wont accidentally / purposely lock herself 😖

my one year old accidentally locked himself in the bathroom (it had a deadbolt kind of lock that’s very easy to turn). i had to climb into the window to unlock it. there’s now a magnet blocking it from being lockable 😂

I wish it was an accident...he would legit laugh in the other side while we were trying to figure out the lock lol and I don’t know what else I would of done because his room is on the second floor...told him you want to lock doors in your mom then fine say bye to your door (he loves having his privacy at night time cuz he’s weird lol) he screamed and said sorry mommy how many times as I took it off and my husband sitting there laughing cuz I legit took his door

you could probably come up with some kind of rig to keep it from locking haha but no guarantee he wouldn’t figure that out as well

Locking your doors We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?

I need some advice my babies father gets really mad when he drinks liquor. He woke me up and started a big argument about the thermostat he completely destroyed the room and choked me this is the 2nd time he has done this. I'm going to church today and I'm not sure of what to do when he starts calling and texting to talk to me because he realized he messed up. I need some advice and solutions to help the problem.

My 2 year old just locked me outside for 20 minutes. I was standing on the porch with my oldest waiting for the bus and withing 30 seconds, Liam had it locked. He didnt realise how he did it so he couldn't undo it and was freaking out. My keys were inside so i couldn't unlock it. As im trying to unscrew the ac from the one window, he finally unlocks it. It was pouring rain the entire freaking time! Hes never messed with the door like that.
