I like to get as much blood out of the steak as possible so I soak it in lime/lemon with salt or vinegar and squeeze all the blood out

I stopped washing my meat before cooking because I saw on a show that it just spreads bacteria to other utensils and around your kitchen. I don't know what to believe anymore because growing up I was taught to clean it, now they're saying don't 🙄

Yeah, I heard this too, but I wash everything down with bleach after, including the sink and countertops
Anything that can harm you will be cooked out if you heat it to the appropriate temperature. No need to wash your meat. Just get a digital meat thermometer and you’re good to go. 👍🏻
