Advice: I haven’t told my mother in law that I’m pregnant yet and I’m really nervous not that she doesn’t like me I just don’t think she’s going to be excited ! This would be her first grandchild by her ONLY son.
She will definitely be excited. People love gtandbabys and especially the first grandbaby is special.
@amareenakiaa oh. Yeah that's kinda how my mil was but I just said ok smiled and continued to do what I do. Lol
@saintsmama, but then again I will only have to hear that when I’m around her 🤷🏽♀️ when I’m at home I’ll continue to parent how I parent
@amareenakiaa exactly. Like I said say ok smile and continue to do what you do. It keeps the peace. Makes her feel like her advice or input is appreciated but at same you know what you need to do and how YOU need to parent.
Doing something nice to reveal the pregnancy by gifting her something is what I would do so she feels a little more included and special to get excited for your little one. Also, congratulations!🎉💖
If anything , I think she might be really excited and very overbearing. Her son is an extension of her and if he’s her only son, you better start setting boundaries now 😬
@amareenakiaa, just know it’s healthy to set boundaries. Grandmas have no rights only privileges and how she treats you while you’re pregnant will set the tone in how you deal with her for when your baby comes. Make it entirely clear to your partner that his mom, never has a say in parenting just because “she’s raised kids before”
Your child isn’t her child and she needs to respect YOUR parenting , not the other way around.
Also, never be afraid to be the bad guy, family members that have no shame don’t care about anyone’s feeling but their own and quite frankly, nobodies needs comes before you and your families... not his mom, not your mom.....You , SO, and baby. That’s your/his family.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
I was worried about that with my dad. Lol
