I was 3cm stayed there for 3 weeks and had my first baby at 37 wks... you can stay there for a while
Yeah a week ago I was 1cm then went to the hospital bc I was hurting and I was 1 1/2 then went to the Dr today and I am a 2 now.
@beakymcspence @mommy_x3 @mom2les @boymomx3 im not saying I am going to try to have her early I am saying that the Dr said that i may not make it to 39 weeks Bc I'm sure I may have to be induced... I had my son right at 39 weeks and was supposed to be induced 3 days after he came
@mama.kay my obs nurse said that little girls who are born btween 36 to 39 weeks are healthier than boys that are born early around that time! I was honestly just stating what I was told... She will come when she comes..! They are basically saying that they wont have to stop labor bc I am so far along.. She is still high up and my cervix is still thick.
@boyandgirlmom, and that’s fine! And great that she’s doing good and high up there. I was literally just trying to say that being a girl over boy doesn’t determine much. Statistically yes, they can be healthier than boys before full term. But any baby girl or boy before full term can have a nicu stay, some babies even at full term although it’s rare. A lot of babies before full term can come out with severe jaundice, feeding and stomach issues, lung problems.. etc. That goes for both genders. All I was trying to do was educate about preterm birth. I never insinuated that you were trying to get your baby out, I’m sorry if you took it that way.
@mama.kay no its okay.. I just was stating what I was told..my son was born at 39 weeks 3 days and had stomach issues ended up being malnourished couldn't eat anything we tried and ended up at children's hospital a week before thanksgiving he was only 3 months..
I had my daughter at 36 weeks 3 days she was very jaundice and had to stay a week after she was born also was in and out of the doctors after that for 2 weeks almost had to take her back to the hospital. My doctor told me the same thing but you just never know i had my other daughter at 37 weeks she was fine thankfully.
Same here I was 3cm at 31 weeks but I only made it to 36&2 with my youngest.
I was 2 cm dilated from 22 weeks with my daughter didn't have her til I was 35 weeks.. hopefully your baby stays in there a little longer!

@boyandgirlmom, huh? It’s not if something is wrong. It’s the fact of that all babies should be as close to full term as possible. & no they can’t tell if your baby could be in nicu or not from preterm. It’s literally a wait and see which is why it’s 100% better to be full term...
@mama.kay i know this. I'm saying that they said i may not make it to 39 weeks ... I'm not going to try to have her before then.. I was told that if I was to go into labor now then I would be term not full term but term which I was told would be okay
