I scream in pain and say no and take her to her dad or leave her in the playpen till the pain goes away

Not necessarily, if you want to continue BFing maybe you can try pulling her off when she does it and wait a few minutes before continuing and do that every time. Eventually she will learn she stops eating when she bites.

My daughter bites down when she’s distracted. I say no biting and tap her check.
