Question? If you applied for a job and they offered .50 -1.00 less an hour then you asked for, would you still take it? The job posting was 16-18 per hour and they offered me 16.50. It’s a 45 to an hour each way . I’m not sure if it’s worth it? Please help? I have the experience and will be doing the same job duties as someone who makes more. I’m not sure if I should keep looking for something closer.

Maybe you gotta see if you have more options available the choice is your based on if you think it's the right choice for you.

Yes. A job is a job. Unless you have multiple lined up. I'd take it

But if you have the same job requirements as someone who makes more. Why less?? That would be my question

Usually when you get hired in somewhere you get paid less until your probation period is over. When that's over you usually get what was originally show along with your benefits insurance and all that.

@anicole3285, @verguinia, I just started looking and I’m so undecided. It’s not a situation where I need a job ASAP. It will just frustrate me knowing I’ll be traveling 1.5 to 2 hours each day and it’s a little less than what they were originally offering.

Then I wouldn't take it. I had to drive to my so sister house which is 30 minutes away then to work witch is about an hour from her house at 5:30am just for a job that didn't pay well then of course right after on my feet all day had to drive to pick my daughter up and.also my so who worked near there it is tiring. I ended up quitting and.looked for something else

No don’t settle. What if you take it and then don’t like it? Just keeping looking you’ll find one that’s right for you - plus that’s too far of a drive to only make that an hour IMO

Give them a counteroffer. If they don’t then don’t take it unless you need a job.
