How much did you ladies spend on your babies first birthday? (Feel like I've not done enough for her)
By Friday we will have spent around 190 not including cake and food 🤦🏻♀️ she's already ripped abit of one of her presents open too haha😂 but because we've recently moved house we've bought her some outdoor toys. We're quite lucky that she plays with all her toys at the moment so hopefully she'll do the same with these🤞 xxx
Wellll.. In all honestly a lot less then all of the comments on here. Even then brought a few toys, and then literally brought clothes and stuff they would of needed such as summer clothes as there 1st birthday we're in April and we continue to do the same now.
She won't even be arsed about the presents it will be the boxes and wrapping paper that do the entertaining. Too much pressure these days for Easter, birthdays and Xmas etc to spend loads. There Is no need, loved and cared for with a few presents is more then enough. Don't worry yourself ❤️😘enjoy her special day and celebrate yourself too for what you brought into the world
We only spent about £100, £70 on gifts, we looked for deals. Got him a huge ball pit, tent and tunnel, an activity cube and some other bits and pieces. We didn't get him much at all. It seemed a bit pointless spending load of money on gifts he wasn't going to be interested in opening. We got a load of ballons and some colour yourself banners with his name on them, he absolutely loved it 😂 we spent a bit on food as well, we had two different parties, one for family and one for friends so we had two cakes and everything 😩 x
We got her a ball pit for Christmas but don't have much room for any presents that take up alot of space as the house is so small. And we're having a little party too xx
About 150. As long as she has all her family around her she'll be fine 👍As for presents, Chelsea was more interested in the wrapping paper to be honest lol 🤦♀️😂 x
She's found her presents in our room and is constantly trying to open them 🙄😂 Just feel like there's so much pressure on us as parents these days x
@megan-leigh I know, the pressure to do as much as we can and spoil them when they wont even remember their earliest birthdays 🤦♀️🤣 Mum life ey lol 👍 x
@abbiiqx @chelsea2018 Thanks girls that makes me feel abit better. Did you feel like it looked like they didn't have much? That's what I feel like and it's making me feel crap 😩xx
@megan-leigh, whilst she’s still young don’t go crazy she dosent know she’ll be more interested in the balloons and paper😂 lexis birthday is in May and I’m dreading it she’s asked for so much😫 but I know the worry of “is it enough” I think every mum worries over it but she’ll have an amazing day xx
@abbiiqx see there's a few things I have a feeling she is going to love. We pick her trampoline up on Friday and I know she will love that. As long as she has a good day I guess that's all that matters xx
@chelsea2018 yeah we've bought balloons and stuff as I thought she might enjoy them. Just feel like there's so much pressure on us as parents these days 🙄xx
We spent £450/500 we didnt realise until we added it all up🤦♀️xx
@abbyrose well she's got a little trike that she pulls herself on, her nanna has got her a rocking horse that has her name engraved in it and makes horse noises 🤦🏻♀️ and her nan has also got her a pram for Christmas this year already. Just been stressing myself out over it so much 😩 we've been so tight on money since moving house so it's affected how much we have spare. So not being able to give her as much as we would like is so upsetting 😩xx
@megan-leigh aww so shes already got loads of toys! Dont stress over it hun she dont need alot shes to young to know whats going on xx
I spent about £150 on my daughters first birthday - not including food and it was the biggest waste! She barely played with any of it, she was more interested in the boxes. She was totally overwhelmed as well. I won’t be making the same mistake twice 😂😂 my second baby will be two months old at Christmas and apart from a few items of clothing there won’t be anything else xxxx
