I took one oxy the day after my c section after getting up and walking. After that ice and ibuprofen did the trick for me but no shame in needing some meds to help. Take it easy especially the first two weeks
I asked them for an ice pack. I used it for the first week after. I do not like taking any kind of medicine and I had a terrible reaction to the medicine in the spinal from mine. My c section was friday morning and I left the hospital at noon on Sunday without any pain medicine.
Yes, it is rough! Keep up on your meds. You may need the stronger meds the first few days, then you can switch over to ibuprofen. It also helps to hold a pillow against your stomach when you have to get out of bed, cough, or laugh.
I just had my 4th csection on the 20th. Make sure you keep up on pain meds if u need it.
I was fine just taking Motrin. Once I was able to get up out of bed and walk around later that night, I walked a ton bc my daughter was in the NICU and I was walking to and from there.

I hate meds also, but I took the oxy’s for the first 3 days, when the pain was the worst. After that, I managed on ibuprofen.

Take pain meds on the hour like every 4 to5 hours , don’t miss a dosage or they will out ya system . And the more you walk that helps
