So I just added up that I’m only drinking on average 40-45oz of water a day. I know I need way more but it’s so hard to drink because of the morning sickness. Will drinking this little bit of water negativity affect the baby? Or only severe dehydration would?

Try propel water. It definitely helps

I discovered strawberries in my water helped up my intake but it also keeps the nausea away. I can function like a normal adult now as long as I have a few sips! Give it a shot, you wont be disappointed!

I tried lemon in my water and it was still gross. Unless it sweetens the water, I still find it has that gross dry taste, if that makes sense? Lol.

hahaha I hear you, I'm not a lemon water fan but these strawberries. Adds in a little sweet and then you can eat them after the water is gone...mmmmm

Water made me throw up in the first trimester with my daughter. I would throw it up anytime I tried to drink it. So I just mainly stuck to juice in the first trimester at least. My daughter turned out just fine. Just keep doing your best.

Probably more than I did also. I have always had a problem drinking a lot of fluids though. Adding the little water flavor does help me a lot because unless I'm working out I hate water.

The store bought flavored waters, or a little lemon squeeze in water? Cause the lemon in my water was gross too! Maybe I’ll try the store bought ones. I feel like I could stomach those. Regular water, even with a little fruit squeeze just leaves a bad dry taste in my mouth! Yuck.

the store bought ones, lately I have been using the kind you can squirt in. Or the little packets for water bottles

Try adding lemon or fruit that really works for me and I actually want to drink more water cause I love the taste!

You’re doing better than I ever did with all my babies, which all pregnancies turned out great! I barley drank water until towards the end, maybe 1-2 water bottles a day. I think you and baby will be just fine. If every doc appt and ultrasound is good I wouldn’t worry. You eat food and whatever you drink still supplies for the baby. If you want to drink more water, go for it! But I’m sure you both will be just fine.

Good that makes me feel better! I was drinking 4 water bottles just at work a day, but as soon as the morning sickness hit that got cut in half.

you’re doing great! I never took any of the things I was supposed too. Either I forgot or it made me puke. My doc already knows I won’t do anything I don’t want to so he never pushed me unless it was necessary. But the baby lives off even just body fat. I stopped eating for over 2 weeks when I was in a very bad state of mind while pregnant and baby was still fine. Not saying that’s okay lol,but baby eats off every thing you take in, so it will always be good. Unless there’s a medical condition, then that’s diff. Don’t stress over anything unless there’s some thing the doc says! Water is important but really not that big of a deal when you’re doing fine.

I’d say that dehydration will affect the baby because it can cause preterm labor. My dr told me 2 to 3 liters of water a day
