Every time I look at baby A, I cry. I'm so emotional, even more so than when I was pregnant with her. Idk if it's bc of all the hormones rn, or that she gave me such a scare when she was born. I can't control my tears whenever I look at her. I still can't tell people about her birth without crying. Baby blues?

My post partum hormones were way more intense than pregnancy hormones. Give yourself a friend to talk to about your feelings and emotions. Even if it's a mama to confide in on here, be honest about your feelings with your spouse or a parent. Dont isolate yourself, you need to be taken care of too. Not just self care but community care is important. Your little girl is SO precious. Congrats mama!

Thank you! Her being in the NICU nursery for those first few days were the hardest and longest days of my life. Shes my 4th, so having a baby was nothing new, it was having to watch her in the NICU and not being able to hold her and love on her. Shes my 1st baby that I didn't get to hold right away, or even see her for that matter. I've never had to be given something while still on the operating table, to calm me down because I couldn't calm myself down after they whisked her off. I barely heard her cry and then she was gone. I didn't know what was going on, didn't know how much she weighed or how long she was.

that is horrible and shame on the hospital staff for not updating your or explaining things to you. I'm so sorry beginning of her life was so stressful for all of you! I hope and pray with each day she grows stronger and you do too. Shes not in the NICU anymore and she is home safe with you, she is a beautiful fighter and you are so strong and brave.

@newlyfitmama I know they were just trying to take care of my baby girl and I'm so grateful to them for helping her. The nurses in L&D and in the NICU were wonderful and kept me going. I spent all day/night in there by her side even when I couldn't hold her. I had nurses come in and hug me and tell me to go get some sleep, even when I didn't want to. I will forever be grateful to them for saving my baby.

Thank you so much.

My postpartum hormones were insane, like a million times worse than when i was even pregnant. I cried nonstop the first three days he was born because we had to stay in the hospital longer because he had too high bilirubin levels. I cried nonstop thinking it was my fault because id read it can happen when you have a short birth (which i did, it literally took 10 minutes) or when the mom and baby dont have the same blood type (which we dont). It was awful
