What a day I had today! I had the worst parenting moment ever! I lost Archie 😭. He always plays outside with two of his friends who live a few doors away - we live around a bend and the street is hidden from the main road with trees and a stream one side & the houses the other. Anyway, I went to check on him, my living room overlooks part of the street where there are a row of very worn out sheds and he was playing there with a few dinosaurs ( obviously ) but I looked and he'd gone. I popped out to check if he'd gone to his friends garden.. but the second I got out the door it street was silent. There was no sounds of the kids anywhere. Que instant panic. I called him NOTHING, I called him again, NOTHING.. I just have sounded like a nutter screaming his name over & over but there was nothing but silence. I ran back in & asked my boyfriend if he'd seen Archie. He hadn't, I ran back out walked over the stream heart in mouth and walked the length of it calling his name and praying he hadn't fallen in.. nothing. I passed all the houses calling his name. My neighbour came out and starting calling around the street. my boyfriend went off looking for him, checking the stream, going into the woody bit. Checking he wasn't up a tree. He walked all the way to the next street & the next he got to the grave yard. Followed the stream to the river NOTHING. Eva ( my eldest ) was at a friend's I called her back and told her what happened, she and her friend went and knocked on all their friends front doors asking if they'd seen him. The friend who arch had been with hadn't been seen for ages either ( their parents didn't seem bothered & I didn't even go to look for him, his two brothers did though ) I couldnt go anywhere with two young ones at home so I had to sit there terrified wondering if I should call the police, trying not to cry. Then I heard Eva call me. SHE FOUND HIM!! He had gone I to someone's house ( a new family moved in a few weeks ago ) he'd got talking to the little girl & they'd gone into her house. I was so angry with him but happy he was okay. He knows not to go into anyone's house without letting us know.

The worst part this girls mum had heard me walk past the house 3 times calling his name and actually laughed!! LAUGHED!! And then said " I didn't realize it was important " like WTF!! She didn't ask him if I knew where he was, nothing! It's the first thing I ask any of the kids friends when they pop over!! Grrrr. He's home safe and sound & won't be going out for A VERY long time.
