I just found out that I have to be on anti seizure meds for the rest of my life. But we and my husband were planning on one more baby? I haven’t talked to a Doctor about it but I want some insight on moms who have had pregnancies while being on anti seizure meds? Is it possible? Was baby ok? I will be asking a doctor when the time comes again I just want to hear some positive stories!

im epileptic and take anticonvulsant medications, i had to switch medications during my first pregnancy and it was an annoying adjustment (some mild side effects like headaches and nausea) but the meds i switches to were safe for use during pregnancy so it was worth it. i went back to my normal medications after i finished breastfeeding. im going to have to switch it up again soon after i get in to see my neurologist.

Which medication were you on? I’m on Keppra now and it makes me feel like shit all day long.

I’m epileptic as well. I was on seizure meds with both pregnancies and my kiddos are good
