Has anybody ever miscarried at home? Did you need to go to the hospital after?
I miscarried at 6w. Dr. Told me if I fill up a whole pad every hour then I need to go to the hospital. It’s possible to lose too much blood. Make sure you have someone you can call who can help you. After my MC I had a follow up appointment about a week or so after. They found large amounts of tissue still leftover and I planned for a DC to have it removed but it ended up coming out on its own a week or so later. So yes, it’s possible to have a slow MC, meaning it doesn’t all come out at the same time and spans over weeks. Which is why some people opt for DC or the pill.
If you are + blood type it’s fine to miscarry at home but should let your dr know and go for a check up to make sure you passed everything
I have. Same as @penelope127, said I had to go for a scan to ensure there was nothing retained.
After I called my doctor she didn’t say I had to do any scans just use pads and take pain meds
@prettygirlsmommy, if you have a confirmed pregnancy you definitely need a follow up to check your hcg levels have gone down if nothing else.
I did. I just called my dr the morning when they opened and told them. They had me go to the lab for a couple of weeks to make sure my numbers went down, and I didn’t have any retained product.
I just miscarried last month. Went to the ER - Because I passed a big clot with tissue at home. Which doctors believed it was the sac. When I got there, I started bleeding excessively they did performed an ultrasound to confirm us I indeed had a miscarriage at home. Went every other day to check if my hcg levels were dropping and finally today I got my period.
