Any other reason someone would bleed fresh blood in first trimester OTHER than miscarriage?
She’s experiencing bleeding heavier than spotting, no pain and if went away it was all one gush. She’s seeing her doc early in the AM but is there any hope?

I had a lot of blood due to an irritated cervix. They thought I was having a miscarriage but thankfully I have a healthy 3 year old
I did with my second and had the hemorraging outside of the uterus. Basically above my cervix bled. It was like that til 20 weeks and bright red. What kind of blood is it? Brown, bright red, pink?
@mom2311s, I really hope it’s a minor hemorrhage and she and her son are fine. Her blood draw today at 5w6d was 15,000! Doubled every other day

SCH subchronic hematoma. I currently have one. I started bleeding on and off and even passed large size tissue. I thought I miscarried as well but had ultrasound next day and baby was fine. It’s very scary and if it is SCH should be monitored.

She’s an IVF mom her blood draw today was like 16,000 and she’s 5w6d and her numbers doubled every other day as they should. So you’d think a miscarriage is unlikely then right?
@joeywiththegoodhair right! And if her levels are doubling like they should she shouldn't worry too much until her doctor gives her reason to.. I don't want to give false hope though, you know? Is she bleeding clots too?
@joeywiththegoodhair that's good! Hopefully her doctor will be able to tell her more in the morning.. just tell her if the bleeding worse or with clots to go to the ER
