Snacks! Someone warned me to pack snacks because you are crazy hungry the following days but our son came early and I hadn’t done it yet. I was so hungry in the middle of the night when feeding and the cafeteria wasn’t open yet lol

@alissamarie, I waddled my way down to a vending machine at 3 am lol what should have been a 5 minute walk took 30 minutes but it kind of felt nice getting out of my room lol

Omg YES. All the snacks. Not just for you but for hubs/so as well. You have no clue how long labor will last for you, so best to be prepared!

also if it looks likes it’s going to be a late delivery see if the nurses will order you a tray of food to hold until after delivery. I didn’t think about this ahead of time but my son came at 10:46pm after the kitchen had closed and the nurses had already planned ahead and ordered me a sandwich and chips! It was super nice of them!

But other ideas would be:
A good book or magazine (labor can take awhile)
I wouldn’t pack more than 2 sets of clothes for baby. We had one for photos and one for going home. Other than that we left him in the hospital pjs. We figured he didn’t need to be dealing with us changing him all the time.
An extra bag for gifts. You might not be expecting any but people will still bring things and the hospital will send you home with stuff.
I think that’s it. We really didn’t use much and I felt like I over packed. We brought the diaper bag but left it in the car because they give you everything you need.

Car seat, a baby outfit or two, slippers, a few sets of comfy clothes for yourself, toiletries, a sleep mask to help block out light in the hospital room.
