I am soooooo frustrated. Originally I was told my maternity leave would be paid time off. Nope. Just called Sedgwick and since I'm not a full time employee, only part time. I only get unpaid time off, which my SO and I cannot afford because they're already regulating hours for part timers now that we can't even get over 25hrs per week now, and we're not guaranteed any hours at all. We can't afford for me to have no income. I'm so lost in what to do.

I know through my job I'm not eligible all because I'm part time. So much for busting my ass the whole year I've been there and putting in for every full time position to walk away with nothing.

thats sadly how most corporation's are. I'm not sure how welfare works in your state but you could try for cash assistance in the time you're gonna be off. That will give you money even if you gotta sit through and apply for jobs for a few hours a week??

I got screwed on my leave too. They don’t offer to pay but everyone told me they did so I got screwed and didn’t get paid time off either. If I saved vacation time apparently I could have used that. So that was annoying. Had I known I would have saved my time!

@girlmom. I'm saving mine, but I'll only have 2 weeks worth which is one whole paycheck. Been sitting here doing research, and in Pennsylvania I wont be eligible for short term disability, cash assistance, nothing. Everything states to apply for loans, and work with your creditors.

yup, I been there. It was bullshit. I was allowed up to 12 weeks off, but none of it paid🙄

@girlmom. That really sucks :( my SO will get 2 weeks PTO since he's full time at Lowes. It's bs they can't treat every associate equally. Especially those who have been there for a year or longer.
