I need some opinions not judgement please mamas. My husband has told me to not work since I have had my son because my health is not the greatest and has gotten worse in the last 2 weeks. But every time we get into an argument he says something about me not working so I always start applying for jobs right after. Today I called him lazy because he pissed me off and he told me he’s the one that works and pays the bills and that he’s not lazy I am. I also take care of his grandpa during the day because his mom doesn’t really do anything. But question is should I follow through this time with job searching or get my self better.? I am so tired of hearing that I am lazy and that I don’t pay bills. Or am I over reacting and should just let it go. Idk what to do😞

I think you should absolutely start looking for a job if you feel like you're ready. I was a stay-at-home mom for 5 years and I heard the same thing. I work full time now and I I'm still expected to do everything I did as a stay-at-home mom and he does nothing. He thinks that just because my job isn't as hard as his and flowers aren't as long as his that I still have to do everything.

He sounds like an ass but this is a really personal decision. Will you be able to be away from your kiddo? Is it financially responsible? Will your physical health hold up to the demands of a job? Can your emotional and mental health hold up to not getting one? Can your relationship handle either situation?

You aren't overreacting. Personally I think this sounds like really controlling and emotionally abusive behavior from him. He's upset with you if you don't do what he says, but also that you are doing what he said. That is not healthy or rational.

I think I could handle being away from the babes. If I went back to work the extra money would be nice but it’s not like we absolutely are hurting for it. And I honestly don’t know if my health can especially with my kind of work. Thank you so much for responding I’m taking all of that in and hopefully can chose what’s best

Junk punch..... jk (sorta) lol. I think y’all need to sit and talk (calmly) and really really talk. Tell him how u feel when he says it and ask why cuz it’s not fair. Raising kids is hard freaking work and I only have one.

That’s rude of him that’s why I want my own job I don’t ever want a man to think I need them married or not. I just want my own money! In the past I didn’t work and my husband would act funny when I wanted to get my hair done or just ask for money at all but now that I have a job I have my own extra money and it feels good!! To get out the house and make my own money because ppl can be assholes☹️

@mamaof2babes my health sucks too right now and I’m pregnant but I just got really tired of asking for money and not getting out the house to do anything I was getting so depressed I just do part time 4pm-8pm Monday-Friday. Just to make alittle cash just got tired of asking and I felt like he felt like he was better then me because he was the one with the money I just didn’t like the feeling ☹️ but the shift I do is very short so I don’t mind it.

I've been a SAHM for almost 2 years and my SO has never made me feel bad about it. Even when I complain that I don't feel like I'm contributing. The fact of the matter is that childcare cost so much that id only be bringing home maybe $100 a week. That's not worth me working 30-40 hours a week and my child being watched by a stranger. Your hubby sounds like he needs to get a grip on reality and stop being immature and saying it's okay one minute then calling you lazy the next. You get yourself better to begin with.
