I know I will get mixed answers but would you give Tylenol for a fever of 100.5? My twins are still getting over this stomach bug and now my boy twin is running a low fever. Yesterday it was 101. After we gave him Tylenol before bed it went down of course. But today I'm trying to hold off Tylenol till bedtime. But I was just wondering what you guys do

I think for me it's borderline and it would be dependent on how baby felt. If he looked like he was just miserable and such I'd give it to him. If he's doing fine I'll let him ride it out.

he's lethargic? Or just more tired than usual. Lethargic means he should be seen.

No because that's hardly even a fever. Fevers help their body fight off whatever is making them sick. I only give fever reducer for anything over 102 unless they're absolutely miserable or in pain.

If they need it then I give it to my kids. Giving for a fever is okay

Nope. I didnt even give it for a 102.6 the other day because he was acting fine. Fevers are good. Treat the symptoms not the degree.

Not for that temperature I wouldn't. His pediatrician said to hold off on medicine unless he's clearly uncomfortable or if it's a high fever, because the fever means his body is fighting off whatever bug. If it's before bed I do as I don't want to risk it going up while we're all sleeping, sometimes before naps for the same reason. But I try to hold off otherwise.

My kids are so different when it comes to illness. The older one acts miserable and lays on the couch with a fever so I give him meds. The 2 year old runs around and acts normal. You wouldn’t know he had a temp unless you felt his head. So I treat by behavior, mostly.
