Requesting opinions and advice for putting a newborn on a schedule, please and thank you!

My sons on a schedule now. But yeah what everyone else said a newborn won't have one they just sleep whenever and eat every 2-3 hours and just poop a lot. You'll get one down it just takes time

I agree with the other comments. Most babies sleep all day and sleep on and off at night between eating and pooping. Once they hit 4-6 months you can try to them on more so of a routine. If this is your first my advice would be to sleep when they sleep. Trying to put them on your schedule while sleep deprived will stress you out.

Newborns and schedules don’t mix. They pretty much sleep, eat, and poop. They can’t comprehend a schedule at all. Once baby is a bit older you can start implementing a routine, but if you try to do so with a newborn you’ll just find yourself getting more flustered than you need to be.

I find that you can put them on somewhat of a schedule my daughter is not even 2 months and she goes to bed every day at 8 , it’s not much but that’s my time when both kids are sleep , I wash her face and hands down change her pamper at 730 , she has a nice warm bottle and no later then 810 she’s sleep until 1030 11 ish ,,,, if I keep this up everyday she will have that as a bed time

You can’t really put a newborn on a schedule their still too small and don’t understand my son just turned 5 months and barely got him on a schedule not too long ago

Newborns don’t have schedules. They can’t get on a routine.. they’re still so new and can’t comprehend it. Once baby is like 4ish months they can start going on a little routine and by 6 months you can start getting them on a sleep routine.
