Ive been doing that but at night its the hardest bc he wakes up so many times and thats the only way he will go to sleep or else he will cryyyyy. He nurses about 3-5 during the day

@onecaffeinatedmom, sounds like he just needs to be sleep trained. You can sleep train him and still nurse him during the day. It’s not all or nothing. Get dad on board to go in and comfort him when he wakes up because it’ll be easier if you’re not around. I’ve been doing that with my son, if he wakes up early in the night like 10:30/11:00 pm then dad will go in and pick him up for a few minutes then put him down. If I go in then he cries more and wants to nurse but that’s way too early to nurse since it’s only a couple hours after bedtime. If he wakes up after 1am then I’ll nurse him. But he usually sleeps all night. He only wakes up when he’s sick.

Cold turkey. We just got done weaning this way. 3 days and he was done.

Ive tried but he just CRIES like never before 😩 and he wakes up 3-5 times at night. I cant take it anymore

Drop one feeding at a time is the best way so you don’t get clogged ducts and it’s a more gentle approach. How many times a day is he nursing?
