Rock and plays have been recalled due to mold growing in between the fabric and plastic part. I didnt believe it until I checked mine that I had with my son and sure enough there was mold. Luckily we only used ours once and didnt like it.
@madhatter im not sure sense they are still selling them in stores. Maybe look up the brand and see if it was recalled?
@mommytoveralang I'm not finding anything about a recent recall. I have to look at the box and see what we have but I think it's okay. The article I'm finding is from 2013 and it said it's more so from people not washing or putting the cover back on still partially wet. I think we're okay. Thank you!
@madhatter i just looked it up too and its from 2013 nothing recent and at the bottom guves you the cleaning instructions witch probably why i never had issues i clean that kinda stuff every week and sensitized all toys and rockers and swings. 😀😆
I used a rock n play for both my kids and they both loved it. Never had any problems with mold. It was purchased in 2014 so maybe it’s only an issue with newer models?
