I have exclusively breastfed 3 out if 4 of my kiddos. My younger son was breast and bottle but not until he was about a month old. Worked fine, he was premature and was in the NICU at first so it was a unique experience. My older daughter was exclusive to breast until 15 months, she did have other drinks at approximate age through a sippy cup. then my current 9 month old, started bottle at 2 weeks. We do exclusive breast if shes around me. I also pump daily in between a couple feedings because I also donate milk, then when I'm at work or not around she takes breastmilk via bottle. I have loved this way the most, it's most flexible for every situation. This time I used the munchkin latch bottles, I absolutely love them. No issues and easiest transition from my breast to her bottles.

I pumped for #2. It is a job and a half. You have to be really committed to maintain your supply. I ebf #3. Despite a difficult bf journey, I'd take it any day over EP'ing.

I exclusively pumped for a total of two weeks. It is totally doable but you have to be dedicated.
I think the reason I didn’t last long was 1. I went into it thinking it would be easier than everyone said. People constantly told me it would be hard and I kind of just brushed it off. But in reality it is pretty difficult since you have the extra work of cleaning the pump and the bottles as well as the extra time to pump. So be prepared with extra supplies and know it’s a time commitment and 2. I was dealing with some PPD and the pumping made me feel even less like myself so I decided to stop to see if it would help and it did.
I don’t want this to discourage you, just want you to be prepared for things that I wasn’t when I started!

I did with my first for 5 months agyer he stopped nursing and preferred bottles, then took 6 weeks to wean myself off the pump. It is a job ... i took my pump everywhere as you really have to stick to a schedule.
Get a good pump, good water intake, schedule and it is possible.
EBF this time and hoping to only pump at work.
