Gosh this breaks my heart, our cat brought baby bunny, i was telling my husband to take him back to the wild, but he kept him in the house overnight, next day he took him outside and then hrs later went back to check on him and ofcourse he brought him back 🤦🏼♀️ he said he will die in the wild but i would rather him die out there then in our house. Later that night he suddenly decided to take him outside, 😩 it took me 5 min to guess why!!!! I’m too sensitive when it comes to pets and animals... and ofcourse our kids found him dead because my husband didn’t want to take him far from the house.
Your husband should have left it, adult bunnies and deer will leave their babies in tall grass to go forage for food...this likely wasn’t an abandoned baby 😩 We see it all the time on our acreage the moms always come back its best to leave them. Wild life conservation say the worst thing you can do is actually intervene.

@boyandgirlmom, I get that you think you guys are doing a good deed, but that is how things go in nature. You may think that your saving the bunny but even if it was taken in by conservation the survival rate is very slim. You likely don’t have the hands on experience and knowledge to care for a wild animal baby...this isn’t a domesticated rabbit bred to be a pet. It’s also not a prop for photos I’m sorry...but it’s not it’s a living creature. Any conservation officer will tell you their biggest struggle is educating people on leaving wildlife alone, because often your doing more harm then good. I hope the bunny thrives but you’d be best off finding it care at a wildlife rescue centre ❤️
Most wild rabbits will not eat for a human. Not sure why.
@kambam oh yes they are!! I had one before and it ended up passing away and we dont know why... I think the dogs here scared it to death literally!! I have so many animals and I love it! I have 2 dogs 2 cats (one is my hubbys uncles) a pig and a leopard gecko 💖 I get the loving animals from my dad he has had and still has so many.. Hes had a coyote... He has rare alligator snapping turtles.. A bearded dragon.. A red tail boa .. A ball python.. A oppusm ... And a turtle he caught at the creek.. A pit bull two Chihuahuas.. And a Rottweiler who is now pregnant by the male Rottweiler that was mine when I lived with him lol
@boyandgirlmom oh my! That's a ton of animals. How was the coyote as being a pet?
@zme well it ended up biting him lol.. He let it go.. The only reason he had it was to take care of it until it got better bc its leg was hyrt
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
