I'm normally a lurker but I'm looking for advice.. my 3yo son is a kind, loving, sometimes boisterous little boy and when I picked him up from preschool yesterday they had a form saying he had cut another child's hand with a pair of scissors, now I 100% accept that my child is a fault here and we've had a thorough chat about why his actions were wrong in which he kept repeating 'i didn't mean for it to hurt my friend' which makes me think he didn't realise the consequences of his actions. But I've had a thought that I didn't have at the time.. how did he get scissors? why wasn't he being supervised? I don't want to cause trouble or look like I'm making excuses for my son but the whole incident wouldn't have happened if he'd been being properly watched? Am I wrong for wanting to bring this up at drop off tomorrow morning? My husband thinks I should let it go thanks for reading, I didn't half ramble on 🤣 x

in the nursery where I work sometimes scissors are kept in child's reach in the art and craft area as the children love to cut they are supervised well by when you have 20 odd kids in one room running riot and only 3 staff members it's hard you keep a watchful eye on all children
