*Trigger warning*
Okay mammas, I'm talking to a friend of mine and she's an advocate for smoking weed which doesnt bother me however, she wants to start having kids but doesnt plan to stop smoking. I dont smoke so I don't have any advise other than the obvious dont do it. Does anyone have any advise on how I should approach this with her? Also are there risks to smoking while pregnant. Like I said I dont do it so im unaware of the possible outcome.

Smoking anything is harmful pregnant. That being said I would just advise her to talk with her doctors and see what they say. I would let her know they do drug test expectant mothers in a lot of states and that could become an issue if she isn't honest about her use. If she's using for medical purposes they'll decide if it's safe or not and provide her other ways to use. If not, they'll advise her to stop. Unfortunately she's going to do what makes her the most comfortable regardless of what you or anyone says. If it truly bothers you, say your peace. If you don't want an argument leave it at the doctors know best and let them take care of the situation.
There's a risk with anything in life. Especially early in pregnancy the babies brain is developing at such a fast rate and the first few months is very important.
CPS can also still be called on moms who test positive for marijuana use. Marijuana is also stored in fat tissue and may cross breastmilk having the baby test positive.
Really there hasn’t been too much research of proof on what happens to babies when moms smoke pot . BUT , they did connect adults and teenagers with certain learning issues , social issues and work ethic issues and their mothers smoked pot throughout pregnancy. Is it safe ? No ... not knowing 100% how it will affect your baby is or if it will is not a chance any mother should take when it comes t her child’s health or mental health . I wouldn’t drink alcohol or smoke cigs , i know plenty of babies born healthy while their mom smokes cigs with them . But why chance it ?

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls.
