I’m having a hard time coming to terms that I’ll be needing a c section . I’m terrified of it , I’m having nightmares , (I have sinus tachycardia that the doctors can’t find where it’s coming from ) I’m thinking my heart is going to stop , I’m thinking about all the worst outcomes. Last night I had a severe panic attack , the closer I get to full term the worst it’s getting.
Yes I was given metroprolol for it and it worked but I’m not currently on it
Most of the time I’m not symptomatic , I start feeling it mostly when I do physical activities
@sashi_2816, it’s not really recommended for pregnancy. I wouldn’t worry though. I’m a cardiac Sonographer and MA and we clear patients with tachycardia for surgery all the time. They just monitor you more closely
I had sinus tachycardia my entire pregnancy.. it wasn’t my biggest health problem but my resting heart rate would be in the 140’s-150’s. But my doctor never said I would have to have a c section for that. I ended up having one for other reasons but not for that. Did they get a cardiologist to look at you? If that was the only reason I would want a second opinion!
Sinus tachycardia is not a big deal is you’re not symptomatic. It’s actually very common. As long as it’s not specific to the atria or ventricles, you’re ok. Have they tried putting you in a beta blocker to slow it down yet?
