Freeeeeeeaking out....My niece has flu A and croup and my 19 month old was with her the day before she was sick and the day of. I am TERRIFIED of the flu because of the possible complications and death. We don’t do the flu shot cause my husband won’t allow it. Please don’t catch it. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻😭😭😭
Oh no! I just came across an article that there’s been a spike in flu A just this last couple weeks! I’m crossing my fingers hardcore that my baby didn’t go by my niece enough to catch it! 😭
@kirstin678 I'll keep my fingers crossed for us both!!!
We don't do the flu shot either. It's a bunch of bs and not good for them anyways! I had the flu shot (required for the hospital where I worked) and got the flu 🤷♀️ but just keep them hydrated and disinfect everything!
Yes, that’s what I hear. Crossing my fingers she wasn’t near my niece enough to catch it. My niece is 6 and my daughter is 19 months, so they don’t exactly “play” together. My mom just watches both mine and my sister’s kids during the week while we’re at work, so they’re in the same house. I hear 1-4 day incubation so I’m going to be a nervous wreck just waiting to see what happens. 1 day down so far. 😭
Keep those babes hydrated and lots of snuggles
Maybe it’s time to tell your husband that he can choose not to get vaccinated but you’re doing it for your children?? I mean who will nurse them while sick? More than likely you. Or just get them vaccinated behind his back.
@kirstin678, I understand but I don’t feel like putting your children at risk for a conspiracy theory is a fair compromise.
@ek_, I couldn’t tell you everything, this is all coming from his argument, not mine. I just remember formaldehyde.
Flu A seems to be the milder flu. Both of my girls have it. The baby only had 1 of 2 shots. And they were completley out and back ordered when I tried to do Sophie's.
Pediatrician recommended alternating tylenol and ibuprofen every four hours
Cool mist humidifier
Lots of fluids
I totally just gave her a dose of Motrin just now because she’s never had it before, and my oldest is allergic. I’ve been putting it off because I’m afraid she will be too, but I figure it’s now or never cause if she gets the flu, I will need to alternate. Better to test it out now while she’s not sick so she doesn’t have to deal with being sick AND having an allergic reaction.
I know how you feel, I didn't get the shot this year and it's been especially scary. Just keep an eye out for symptoms to catch it early.
I’m watching her like a hawk. Just hoping we can dodge this. 😭
Why doesn’t your husband “allow” it??
@phoebesmommy that's the reason I get my flu shot while pregnant and my son got his at 6 months because I was told even if he did get the flu it wouldn't be as bad thankfully he didn't get it.
@kirstin678, That’s so ignorant and dangerous. I had the flu and my son did not get it. He got his flu shot. Did you know 80% of childhood flu deaths are in unvaccinated kids? I hope your daughter doesn’t get it, but i would seriously consider vaccinating. It’s not too late.
@ek_, yes I know all of these things which is why I say I’m freaking out. Thanks though.
What’s for dinner y’all
I’m out of ideas … I’m making nuggies and spaghetti cuz … my kids don’t like anything 😭😭😭
How many of you ladies got the flu shot? I turned my flu shot down today at my appointment. I’ve never had a flu shot in my life. This is my third pregnancy in flu season and I’ve never gotten one. I know people that have gotten flu shots and still got sick so that’s kind of why I don’t get them. I’m really asking because I’m possibly considering getting it at my next appointment...idk. No criticism please because I’m already having a bad day and don’t feel like being even more irritated.

I don’t think we would have been able to move if I didn’t have my stay at home job, we would still be in a neighborhood with our house getting broken into. I’m so thankful and blessed to have found a legit home job so my kids don’t have to go to day care, counting my blessings daily
Unfortunately it's going around here, my daughter, son, and husband all have/had it this week. Thankfully the kids had the shot and had a fever for all of a day. Hubs was down for the count for 3 days before getting Tamiflu. He is half way through and still struggling to breath or move. No idea where they picked it up but was immensely thankful the kids atleast were vaccinated. I'm sitting here with prophylactic Tamiflu praying it passes me over!
