Hello girls, I have a concern, is bleeding normal (dark pink) without pain, in the first trimester? I have almost 10 weeks. #help
My OB always said if the blood is red to go in. Light pink/brown can be normal but bright red can be a sign of concern. Hope this helps!
I had some red blood around 6 weeks- wasn’t a lot, didn’t have pain or any tissue passing and it ended up being okay, but I did go to the hospital to have everything checked. I would recommend going to the ER just to be sure.
First trimester there’s something called implantation bleeding that’s totally normal but I forget when it happens. Call your ob and they’ll be able to tell you if that’s what it is or if you should get checked.
I would say as long it’s not heavy and you’re not cramping, you’re okay for now. But I would call your doctor office when it’s open. I had bleeding without pain for nearly 3 weeks (from 11-14 weeks) and it was because my placenta pulled up and off a bit. They did my 12 week ultrasound and said I was fine, but to call back if it got heavier or worse.
Still better to be safe though and see what your doctor would like to do as soon as the office is open. Maybe an immediate care would be a good place to call over the weekend as well.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
