Hey ladies, I'm 33 weeks pregnant and I'm so scared for labour it's unreal, I keep thinking he could be here anytime and I'm scared 🤔😕 has anyone else been like this? #myfirstpost
Thanks so much everyone! I guess I'm just stressing too much😂. I'm just so scared now something will go wrong, I feel like it's too good to be true. I'm only 19 years old and the past couple of weeks I've not been feeling myself at all, my midwife has prescribed me with iorn tablets and I've to take three a day, I don't think they are helping me feel any better :( x
If it makes you feel any better, i had my first at 17.
I was so anaemic as well. Haemoglobin level was 7.4 and during birth i went down to 4.4.
Please please always take your iron pills. I used to always forget which obviously meant i only got worse.
Take your iron pill with orange juice. It absorbs it much better xxx
@zainab.1995 I always forget to take mine too! They say it's really important though, how did you feel taking iron tablets? It's making me feel a bit strange but I think it's because I'm not used to them as yet, I just feel really tired 24/7 and theyve been making me have sickness and upset stomach too which doesn't help :( xxx
@suttonl578 try to set an alarm for your tablet. I know its weird that their side effects make u feel worse. But in the long run it will make you feel so much better.
It is important to take it hun. You don't know if you will haemorrhage at birth which can be dangerous. I had a haemorrhage and was losing consciousness while pushing. Had to have a few blood transfusions after birth.
Now i know the price of taking iron tablets and took them with all my other pregnancies.
Try adding fresh spinach with your meals or snack on almonds, cashews, dried figs and raisins xxx
Bless you, it's the fear of the unknown isn't it.. Yes it's scary, yes it bloody hurts but the reward afterwards is worth every second.. And give it a few months you will wish you can go through it all again! X
Try not to worry! It will be a lovely experience and there is always pain relief available when you need it.
I know its hard at the time, but try to keep calm during labour. That's the only way that helps with pain xx
This isn't easy... But honestly don't be scared, your mind set completely changes when you get in there. Trust your body and the health care professionals around you!
I was a nervous wreck from 37 weeks on, but as soon as I went into labour and I knew it was happening I was so calm, like the calmest I've ever been about anything, ever. You'll do great 😘
Everyone is scared, you are not the only one! :) read a book Childbirth without Fear by Grantly Dick-Read and Birth Reborn by Michel Odent! It will help you to see the birth from other side 101%
I don't think there's one woman that goes into her first labour and isn't scared. Honestly its nowhere near as bad as you've made it out to be in your mind. Plus thousands of woman go through it every day and then choose to do it again! If it was that bad we wouldn't keep doing it 😂 but the feeling after giving birth is the best feeling you'll ever have I cant even describe it you'll be so so proud of yourself. Besides you're only 32 weeks now, wait until you're 40 weeks or more you'll be dying to go into labour. Best advice I can give you is to stay calm and positive, your body will labour much better. 😘 xx
