Why is it so hard to get a baby to poop? She’s on Enfamil Reguline, Gerber Soothe probiotics, and Karo syrup. All are recommended by her pedi and nothing is working. When she finally does go she’s the BEST baby ever!! HELLLLLLLLLLPPPP ME😩😭

The iron in some formulas is too much for some babies to handle. I put my daughter on Similac Pro Sensitive and she was a different baby. 😭
I struggled with that with my second BAD. Her poop wouldfinally be ready and I would have to take off her diaper and push her legs up like she was giving birth to help her push it out and she would scream and cry hysterically I would feel sooo bad. I cried with her, but like you said soon as she went she was the happiest little babe. But it was constantly a struggle and my pediatrician never really gave me anything else besides the stuff you listed. Once she was a bit older we were aloud to use Miralax and then she was okay but in the beginning it was a nightmare.

Yes, they definitely can go a few days without pooping. When they scream in pain without poop is when there’s something up. Has the dr said anything about a little prune juice in the formula? I know others have tried it and it worked for my baby. Maybe ask your pediatrician if it’s safe for baby to try a little. It’s more natural than medicine
I agree w u on the prune juice, that’s what my dr told me w my babies to do. Did it w the last 3 kiddos!
That’s the problem she keeps crying in pain and can’t pass anything. We tried the prune juice and it didn’t work
@coralinesmommy, does she have some kind of intolerance? I know gluten sensitivity or celiac can cause extreme diarrhea or extreme constipation. (I don’t know what’s in the formula) She’s little but worth checking everything to make her feel better. 😕
Yeah I agree with comment above me, my son is formula fed and it was very normal not to go #2 for a few days.. it’s when there in pain and u can see there in pain that u gotta pull all the works and or like my sons pediatrician said rub babies belly if u feel any hard spots babies most like constipated
@joyfulmom, Our problem is the fact that she’s in pain and can’t go lot of the time. It’s like she’s ok for the first day or two after and then you can tell she’s back in pain. And all the little tricks that are supposed to work, we have not had any luck. I’m at a loss😩 I’ll try feeling for those hard spots though👍🏻
@coralinesmommy, sorry to hear that, if u can I’d try a warm bath and massaging her tummy just to ease the pain and suppose to encourage a bowel movement. His pediatrician recommended it when he couldn’t poop, n he did calm down it’s relaxing.. n or the thermometer trick in the mean time till u can see a gastroenterologist for her or the next steps
Even if they’re on formula? I thought they were supposed to go at least once a day. I’m taking any advice. I didn’t have this issue with my first so I’m not sure what normal could be.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
