@gianasmom, Thanks for the info! I’m at my whitts end! I’ve tried so many things and nothing works besides glycerin enemas but I feel like that’s teaching her to not go on her own. And you can tell something is bothering her

@coralinesmommy, yes she still has this problem unfortunately. She has a GI doctor because around 4 months old she would have blood in her stool and she was extremely constipated, she couldn’t poop for days and when it came out it would rip her butthole a bit. They did a ultrasound on her stomach at the hospital and told me she had gastritis which is the stomach lining is irritated. So from there we met a Dr who specializes in that & he would do ultrasounds sometimes and try to find different ways to get her to poop. He suggested Miralax everyday but I personally don’t like the whole idea of giving medicine everyday so I try to find other ways. She’ll be going back though cause the problem started again

@gianasmom, Did your daughter have a similar problem? If you don’t mind me asking, why does/did she have a GI doctor?

@coralinesmommy, my daughter started reguline when she was about 8 months but it didn’t do anything so her GI doctor switched her formula to Elecare and he suggested I give her Miralax but be prescribe it. I use to do the bicycle motions with my daughter to help her release her poop

She was on gentleease first and she would scream and have hard stools. She switched last Friday to Reguline because it’s supposed to make them have soft stools.

Aww poor baby 😞 Was it something she eventually grew out of? What formula did she end up being on?

I agree w u on the prune juice, that’s what my dr told me w my babies to do. Did it w the last 3 kiddos!

That’s the problem she keeps crying in pain and can’t pass anything. We tried the prune juice and it didn’t work

@coralinesmommy, does she have some kind of intolerance? I know gluten sensitivity or celiac can cause extreme diarrhea or extreme constipation. (I don’t know what’s in the formula) She’s little but worth checking everything to make her feel better. 😕

@joyfulmom, Our problem is the fact that she’s in pain and can’t go lot of the time. It’s like she’s ok for the first day or two after and then you can tell she’s back in pain. And all the little tricks that are supposed to work, we have not had any luck. I’m at a loss😩 I’ll try feeling for those hard spots though👍🏻

@coralinesmommy, sorry to hear that, if u can I’d try a warm bath and massaging her tummy just to ease the pain and suppose to encourage a bowel movement. His pediatrician recommended it when he couldn’t poop, n he did calm down it’s relaxing.. n or the thermometer trick in the mean time till u can see a gastroenterologist for her or the next steps

Even if they’re on formula? I thought they were supposed to go at least once a day. I’m taking any advice. I didn’t have this issue with my first so I’m not sure what normal could be.
