I need advice. I haven’t been in many long terms relationships, and my SO and I were only together about a year and a half before I got pregnant. We’re trying to make things work for our LO, but I feel so unhappy. He hasn’t been helping very much with the baby, but since he works and I’m on maternity leave, he keeps throwing in my face that he’s maintaining us and I’m not contributing. I cook, clean, take care of the baby full time, but it’s ‘his house.’ How do you work with things out without calling it quits? Can he get full custody because I’m not currently employed and have a history of depression?

I’m sorry your going through this. But like she said you could try couples counseling and see if things get better but definitely dont stay if you stay unhappy. You will find someone who wants to work and help you with the baby when he is home. As far as custody goes the fact that your on maternity leave shouldn’t matter at all. I hope all works out for you!

I would seek counseling for you and also couples. In the end don't stay if you're unhappy though. He can't get custody just because he works. I would recommend getting all your ducks in order then breaking up but do it sooner than later. Once you break up or even right before see an attorney about filing for custody and child support where you live
