Just a few things some people might need to remember. It is unsafe to forward face your children before 2 but IDEALLY kids need to remain rear facing until 4 years old or longer. They are precious cargo. Keep them safe!!!!!

I see posts like this all the time while yes this is best ITS NOT EVERY STATES GUIDELINES. You can’t fault someone for following their state regulations and what their doctors tell them. In Las Vegas you can FF a 1 year old and IN LAS VEGAS THATS WHAT THE LAW STATES and there’s no size or age regulations only a child has to be in a car seat till 6 years old. I had 2 doctors before we moved to Cali tell me I could FF my daughter as soon as she turned 1 called the dmv and yes indeed it’s 1 year old. So yes this is best but if someone is following their state laws whether it’s right or wrong that’s what their law says they can do.

@squishymommy1, I feel your getting upset aha like I said I agree but not everyone has someone telling them what’s safe and what’s not not every mom has the support of an app helping them with what they don’t know.

@cant_stop_wont_stop_mom_, I’m not upset. But trying to justify it doesn’t make it any less unsafe 🤷🏼♀️. It’s not like this isnt common knowledge in the mom world. Or even a simple google search will yield you all the results you need. Or hell even just looking at the AAP website! It isn’t like it’s not readily available EVERYWHERE.

Doctors and the AAP are now recommending that children rear face until at least 2, preferably longer. Even though state laws aren’t keeping up, the leading medical organization for pediatrics is advocating for extended read facing.
There are lots of legal things that are not safe, it doesn’t mean we should blindly follow the laws and not make the best choices for ourselves & our families.
