Well today I should be working on Nate's first 3d birthday cake panda for Saturday. It's tradition in our family and the cakes take hours. With everyone sick I feel like I shouldn't make it. Is it horrible for him to not have his cake for his birthday? I feel like we could make it after, but Nate loves cake and I was so excited.

Poor kiddo! Depends how much that tradition means to you personally. I'd still opt for at least a less intense cake for now,and maybe do the big one when everyone's feeling better and can enjoy it. Just me though.

It's so important to me but I just don't even know how to do it. Both kids are still coughing and throwing up. Maybe your idea is best a less intense cake... I just feel like a bad mom when I think about him not having his panda.
