I use to be on Prozac and it didn’t help at all and it gave me terrible nightmares like very violent ones

I particularly don’t agree with putting such young children on any medication at all since their brains are still developing (my uncles daughters were REALLY bad with separation anxiety from him) but they did grow out of it with a lot of sit down talks

I've personally been on Prozac and I didn't respond negatively but it also wasn't positive. I know you've probably tried a whole arsenal of things to help with the anxiety if the doctor is thinking to possibly prescribe something but I would just be very cautious. I started psych meds fairly young and I had a lot of really terrible reactions. I have much more success as an adult now that my body is developed and I have a complete picture of what's going on. I also would say if you trust your doctor and truly feel you've exhausted all other options it's worth trying. My brother unlike me had much success with medication as a child. Do what you feel is best. Only you know how much she's struggling right now. Best of luck!

I wouldnt do the Prozac my mom has been on it and its caused alot of other health issues i would loom into something natural or doing things that gets her mind off of everything this world is very cruel always trying to give us things that not only are bad. For us but make other health problems ... Gud luck

Antidepressants are frequently used to treat anxiety. In fact my dog is an excessively anxious little dude and had to see a veterinary behaviorist who prescribed Prozac. I know a dog and a child are very different but it’s just another example of Prozac being used for treatment of anxiety
