You don't have to get rid of the cat. I would just keep the door closed so the cat can't get in

Sometimes lining with aluminum foil helps. They typically hate the sound

They hate the crinkly sound. That's what a lot of people go to keep cat from jumping on table or counters.

Are you able to drape a sheet over the crib when it's not being used? This would probably make my kitty think twice about trying to get inside. (A fitted sheet may work better so it doesn't fall into the crib)
