Okay ladies they are sending me home with contractions because they are not close enough yet what ways can help to speed the process up
If you don't have previa, gestational diabetes, or preeclampsia, I would like to know the name of your doctor bc if they are telling you it is "okay" to induce labor on your own at 36 weeks prior to your scheduled cesarean, they are endangering the life of your child. Babies born prematurely are at risk for a whole host of lifelong health conditions.
What everyone else said. Even if you have a c section date, you want to keep him in there until then. So please wait.
I'm scheduled for a csection very soon that's why they are not stopping them and letting me go because he's coming early regardless
Oh, then definitely don’t try to rush things yourself. If a c-section is scheduled and necessary then having your body labor on its own isn’t ideal. You could suffer uterine rupture, and the added stress on your body will only make recovery after surgery way more difficult.
When is your scheduled c-section?
I image they probably want you on bed rest to try and calm the contractions until it’s the appropriate time for surgery.
@jennatess no they want me to dialate to at least a 1 so they can put me right in for my csection
Not trying to speed them up. You still have weeks to go until full term. Lung and brain development is still important in the last few weeks of pregnancy.
Because they are allowing me to have him but they won't give anything to help I have to do it on my own
I'm going on 36 weeks that's why they didn't stop them they are sending me home because they are not close enough like they want them to be I'm suppose to come back when they are closer or if my water breaks
Why aren’t they trying to stop the contractions? I’d be so concerned with this hospital 😱
I was scheduled for a c section at 39 weeks. I went into labor at 37 weeks and was 2 cm, and my doctor stopped my contractions hoping to buy the baby more time. I made it to 38 weeks when my water broke.
Definitely dont try to speed things along. 35 weeks is too early for a baby to purposely be born. You're doctor should be trying to help you keep that baby in as long as possible.
