Study the cost of living in different areas and budget accordingly.

I have actually done that. I moved to the Jacksonville area which is one of the cheaper areas in Florida but it will still take a good amount of money to do what you're doing. I would say $10k is a nice starting point. $15+ if you won't have a job lined up already

@massgirl, @metaphysical.momma, thank you ❤️ we will have jobs lined up this is the first time moving states so I’m very nervous and just want to make sure we will be okay we had a goal of 15k so I’m happy that sounds about right lol

Every state is different. And every area of every state is different.

Northern California to Southern California is nearly like different states.

Same with Northern Illinois compared to Southern Illinois.

So many factors..Depends on what state? A cross country move is expensive. The rent/deposit or a down payment on a new home. Do you already have work or will have to find a job and have money to hold you over. Research the cost of living where you'll be going but every time I've moved over state lines I've needed $10k minimum to get me started
