anyone here got an IUD before? And how did it work for you

I did i hated it

The Paragard is wonderful for me!

I had a mirena and it migrated into my uterus and caused extreme pain and cysts and I ended up pregnant with it in. I tried a paraguard next and it was even worse. Major bleeding and extreme pain constantly and once again I ended up pregnant on it as well

I have the Mirena. I just got it over a month ago it’s my first one. My first period after the iud lasted almost two weeks. Light period but horrible cramps on and off.. just got my period again and it’s way lighter this time. Cramping but not as often like last time. I guess the experience is just different for everyone 🤷🏻‍♀️

Had one of the hormonal ones and I loved it! Ended up not having a period for most of the time I had it in which was awesome. I didn’t find it too painful for the insertion and never had any problems after that.

I tried Mirena. I bled non stop for a year.. not extremely heavy but enough that it made sex uncomfortable and it was enough that I needed a pad at all times. It caused me horrible cramps. And eventually fell out on the day I scheduled to have it removed. Never got another one, I was done with it lol.

I have had 3 and I loved them. We are ttc right now and after our next blessing I will get one again!
