Honestly, there is no preparing. You just do it and stick through during the hard parts. It's painful at first but most of the time your nipples will toughen up as long as you push through and babe has a good latch.

Latch baby all the time, there is no schedule to breastfeed a baby. Your nipples will hurt all you have to do is push through the pain the first few days. Drink loads of water
