I was catfished a few years ago. A girl I ended up becoming extremely close to and was basically best friends with. My own stupid fault I know because I shouldn’t have wasted time on someone I hadn’t met, but she was SCARY good at it so I never in a million years would have guessed she was fake. I talked to her every night on the phone she was there and a part of everything. Then a friend of mine noticed something was off and said she had a weird feeling about her so we sat there one night for literally HOURS to figure it out and we busted her. Even figured out who the real her was. She turned her phone off, blocked and deleted on everything, and I never found her again literally to this day. She just disappeared all within 5 minutes of me telling her I knew. The worst part was that if she would have maybe just explained herself I MIGHT of been able to forgive her for it because she really was that good of a friend to me.
Yes but it was before people used the term catfish. I even had someone tell me to stop using someone else picture and use my own they called me a catfish so I sent them a picture of a catfish and said no that’s a catfish 😂 they blocked me
I cat fished my sisters ex 🤷♀️ lasted like 3 days. Lmao fucker deserved it but i wouldn't waste time and energy on actually cat fishing someone.
I think you have to treat all social media with caution. Don’t share too much. Don’t show too many pictures. Don’t share your location. Just general stuff and you should be safe.

Yes. It really hurt my feelings too because I really do meet and hang with people. To be dealing with a fraud while I’m over here being my authentic self sucked. Catfishes have no heart.
@pamelawife134, wanted info and felt that was the only way to get it. It worked and I corrected my situation and was happier for it.
No. But definitely catfished my kid's father once 😂😂 he was a big cheater. I don't know if he learned the lesson tho

@pamelawife134, pretty much the same story anyone whose been on a moms app/group/site before has lol. I believed someone who lied to everyone. Ended up stealing people’s stuff and then disappeared off the face of the earth.
