She was 7 weeks old, she loves them now at 2yrs. She would notice me having new earrings and ask to put them on her.
And to whoever is allergic to metals. A lot of places sell fake stuff even if it’s stamped 925 for silver. I’ve been through a lot of them and in Europe whenever I bought silver I never had a problem but in the US it’s always hit or miss.
My first daughter was 9 months and that’s when I’ll pierce my second daughters ears. One of my friends waited until her daughter wanted earrings and she ended up with only one ear pierced. I’m also allergic to metals and so is my daughter, so it’s only pure silver or gold for us, otherwise we have blisters.
First at age one but my mom scared me into thinking she had an infection since she was crying so I took them out and got them done when she was two
Another reason to wait is sensitivity to metals. I’m super sensitive to all metals and can’t wear earrings at all because they always itch and irritate my ears. I would hate for a baby to have a reaction at such a young age.
I’d wait til she asked . My mom got mine done early and my holes won’t close and they grew like with my ears and aren’t even anymore . I hate it .
I got it done at 3 months!! but do not get them pierced with a gun go to an actual tattoo shop if do decide to do it
My little girl was 3 months but now hates ear rings so I wish I had wanted and let her choose. She is 9 years old now and every ear ring we try makes her ears hurt.
@honey_bunches_of_oats98, could be. I had my ears done at the same age and I can only wear real jewelry. Even the hypoallergenic ones mess us up.
@mama_cole same for my ears. My mom had my sister's ears done at like 4 months but she didn't with me. I was 7 and my ears almost engulfed the earrings they were so swollen and infected
Just before her first birthday. Whenever you choose to get them done, please make sure to find a reputable and experienced piercer. We went to a tattoo parlor to have them done.
