Okay so I don’t know what this is (his doctor doesn’t either) he’s had it since he was born and his doctor gave him a prescription for this and it’s not working at all (Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP, 0.025%) He scratches it all day.
Any of you dealing with something similar? If so what works for you?

You should definitely have him seen by a dermatologist

If it’s itches then definitely time to see a dermatologist. I’m shocked the pediatrician didn’t reference a dermatologist.
Hopefully it goes away soon!

I would take him to a dermatologist. Could be anything from severe eczema to a fungal or yeast infection

@lizibear84, it’s always bothered him and the medicine we’ve been using was working and now it isn’t

@alexisastitt, then a pediatric dermatologist is your best bet. They’ll know how to figure out what it is, and what to do

@alexisastitt, I’ve tried. His pediatrician had someone look at it and they gave him that prescription but it all of a sudden stopped working

@alexisastitt I would suggest a dermatologist. If its more than just on good head I would go to an allergist too. My sons have eczema but my oldest is the worst. He uses the triamcinolone acetonide cream, fluocinolone acetonide oil, and mupirocin cream to prevent infection if he scratches his skin open. I also use raw shea butter.
