i hold onto her hands sometimes 1 hand & walk with her. i use to let her be in the walker but to me with walker she just uses it to be lazy. i have her hold onto the couch & shes walks with the support. i tried to get her to stand without no support or help & she cried her eyes out. i tried this walker toy thing that was given to me to her & shes scared of it she wont ever use it or play with it. i just dont know what else to try to help her or encourage her to do it on her own.

@jayyxo13, all you can do is exactly what you’re doing. I know you said you don’t want to hear it, but it’s true that she will do it when she’s ready. Taking away the walker was smart because they can hinder a child learning how to walk, and a push walker is always a better learning tool. My daughter didn’t take her first step until she was the same age as your daughter is now, and she wasn’t walking independently until she was almost 1.5!

Before you focus entirely on laziness you should speak with her doctor. There are things that could be an issue that have nothing to do with being lazy such as low muscle tone, balance issues etc.

Hey mama! I second the above responses. It is true that baby will usually walk on their own but if you are worried a visit to the Dr is imperative so you know it's not a health/physical condition rather than her not being ready. My dd1 didn't start walking independently until 13-15 months. Really going at 18 months. Hope this gives you encouragement.
