When you are offered to go and view a home through the council does it mean it’s yours?...

Yes that’s how it is here anyway. I viewed this house, accepted it and paid the weeks rent and got the keys there and then x

Around Nottingham, you only get offered a viewing if your first in line for the property, they even bring the tenancy agreement for you to sign after you have viewed it, not sure about other councils aswell, but with mine you can only turn down a house once, if you turn down another one you get kicked off the council waiting list xx
I viewed mine, then they asked if I wanted to accept the property I said yeah..so I think it depends tbf xx
Not necessarily. Sometimes theres other people on the waiting list waiting to view it. Sometimes the other person or family is there to view it at the same time as you xx
I’m not 100% but I’d say yeah if you accept it, can’t see why they would offer you a viewing if there was other people viewing too! But like I say not 100% hope you get it though! Xx
