Okay mommas, this is our second night home and little Ryder refuses to sleep in his bassinet. I’ve tried swaddling, feeding him before bed so he isn’t hungry, tried 3 different pacifiers, laid him down awake and asleep. Any ideas?? I just don’t know how else to get him to sleep in his bassinet and not in my arms at night.

@smoore1103 you're fine and it happens so no worries. It is just a phase but such a lovely/horrible one without a break or the ability to sleep. They used to suggest using a drawer with them inside on your bed if you didn't have a side by side sleeper. I'm not sure if this is still in practice so you may want to look it up. Does your office have an overnight call in? Could it be gas related? I'm here if it gets too much, my thoughts are with you both. Hang in there
@ashleybradford92, as long as he is in my arms or somehow touching me he is fine and will sleep up until time to feed again. His bassinet it right beside my side of the bed literally.
sounds like you should try some white noises, a fan, fish tank w/ filter, they also have apps for white noises 🙃
I’ll try that, my husband said “just let him sleep with us.” But my middle son did that at first (he had severe acid reflux) and it was a nightmare to break when he got older and we decided it was time for his crib.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,

Instead of buying a bassinet could my baby sleep in a pack and play beside my bed or a rock and play,until I feel safe with him sleeping in his crib in another room? I see no need in buying a bassinet when he will only be able to sleep in it for a few months anyways. No rude comments! 😀

Someone please help!! I have a 2 week+4 baby who spent 2 weeks in the nicu, he wont sleep anywhere but on my chest I tried putting him in his bassinet and swing only for him to wake up 2 seconds later screaming until I put him back on my chest or very close to me on the bed I dont know what to do! has any other mommies been thru this?!
How can a man sleep through his sons crying? Every night I swear my husband doesn't hear my son waking up or screaming for his bottle, or how does a man forget his son is in the bed next to him? I literally have to tell him every time be careful because he will roll over next to him. That's why my son can't sleep with us. He sleeps in his bassinet next to me but I have to keep him up after his feedings because of reflux so it's easier to prop him up on pillows next to me in the bed while I pump ...
Have you tried swaddling him in one of your shirts?
