Seeking advice for my sister. She has PCOS and is struggling to get pregnant. Any advice? She cut out sugar for a month and got a repeat ultrasound and absolutely nothing changed all the cysts were still there. She is giving up and breaking down. Any advice helps from those who have gone through trying to get pregnant while having cysts. Also would like to know how long it took to get pregnant.
Took me 6 months to get pregnant but had to go vitamin crazy and fertility tea I also tested ovulation everyday for 2 months in the end b4 giving up I ended up preg the second cycle testing
Thank you for responding to my post. I am suggesting fertility tea to her along with other things I found to help but she isn’t ovulating and only has periods every other month to three months that last a few days. It’s nice hearing that there is hope though. They’ve only been trying for 2 months and she is breaking apart with having fertility issues :/
@busymom_lovinlife I was the same but even if doctors say theres no ovulation dont believe it I was told I'm sterile because of pcos and other health problems with my kidneys but look at me I had 2 kids but she should test ovulation twice a day at the same time for a good 2 months before she goes to ask for fertility help... tell her once she relaxes and test to see the pattern it will get better
After i got on the metformin it took 6 months on 2000 mg side not it gave me the shits but well worth it.
I have pcos my doctor said lossing 10lb can help she can also has she asked about getting on metformin to help get pregnant??
She hasn’t as far as I know. I will suggest it to her though. Does her SO have to get his sperm tested before starting that? Thank you for your comments! Very much appreciated
I was on metformin for a month when I got pregnant with my first I hadn't gotten pregnant in a year of no protection so I'm convinced it was the metformin
