The nurse just called with my genetic testing results I had last week at 10 weeks. She said our baby is a boy but, there's something abnormal and I need to come in for an ultrasound today. I'm scared and bawling my eyes out. I lost my last baby last year on Feb 26th. She said it's not life threatening. Has anyone else went through this and what was the outcome. 😭😭

My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.

We just went through something similar but an ultrasound. They said something may be wrong and I cried for 2 weeks. We went this morning and everything is perfect. I know it's really scary..trust me all I did was cry but just try to take it one day at a time.

I can't stop crying! The nurse was really nice and didn't sound sad, but still there's something abnormal. Sigh.... This is my rainbow baby and I'm terrified of what might be wrong.

You're almost 12 weeks, so maybe the dr just wants to do a NT ultrasound. Sounds pretty routine around 12 weeks

@carmenkay83 yes. My test ended up being a false positive. I had a healthy 9lbs baby. My dr told me at 12 weeks they measure the nuchal translucent. It's an area behind babys neck that is measured and that will usually indicate if there is a problem with baby.

@carmenkay83 I did have an amniocentesis performed at 20 weeks to get confirmation. All my ultrasounds looked normal

When I had that 12/13 week scan with my daughter, it was scary and they weren't sure of everything. But as time went on, the scans seems to show better signs. Hang in there momma!!!
