I was on my period when I got my first shot, and it was seven months ago and I still have yet to get my period, I cramp and I never spit either, and I haven’t gained any weight, that I can see at least. I can feel it in my butt and hips and thighs but other then that I haven’t gained any weight.

@mfn_ana, yes, that’s one of the side effects of the iud, and I need to make my appointment to have them checked again, but they are painful

@mfn_ana, like 20-30 pounds. my bff was on it & she was 140 she got up to 190 & got off the shot & been off it for about 3 months & hasn’t lost any weight. she’s a naturally pretty skinny girl as well

I loved it lost weight had normal periods only birth control that i actually liked and didn't have any bad side effects other then when i was getting off of it and not being about to get pregnant right away. Fyi if you are going to ttc soon dont get on it it can take up to a year or more to get out of your system.

@mfn_ana, yeah the only thing that’s didn’t happen to me was I didn’t gain weight but I only got 1 shot. I honestly don’t know anyone who would recommend it. It doesn’t work good for the majority of those who get it

I bled and spotted constantly while on it. I lost a ridiculous amount of weight. I also got pregnant while on it and miscarried. It didn’t work well for me.
