When did you guys start giving your babies regular milk & stop giving them formula??? Because I been…

A bit after 1 with my oldest. Formula fed.

Still haven't with my youngest but will be about 2. Breastfed.

They advice starting at 1yr. My sister was fully over to whole milk by 1yr and 1m

well my son was breastfed so it may slightly be different, but we gave whole milk right after he turned one! he breastfeed for the first 2 months on top of his whole milk but eventually just weaned himself. my son gets cold milk unless it's nap/bedtime. at first he completely rejected it, warm or cold, so.. we started putting a little chocolate or strawberry in it 🤦🏽‍♀️ and after that now he takes it fine and only gets chocolate or strawberry on occasion lol.

My pediatrician told us to just switch her as soon as she turned one. I asked whether we needed to slowly transition her from formula to whole milk but she said to just switch completely.

I read you’re supposed to stay on formula until at least one yr old but I moved my second daughter at 10 months mostly out of necessity. We had ran out of formula and I had to give her reg milk until we could get more. We diluted it half water/half milk for the night and she was good. She has such a great appetite tho that we only used it for night feedings and those basically stopped since we would make sure she was completely full (from dinner) when she went to bed. When she does wake in the middle of the night, we still do the half and half ratio and only give her 4oz, she doesn’t even finish it so we know it’s just a comfort thing. That’s how we weened my first off the bottle in the first place, by diluting her milk until it was mostly warm water 👍🏼

I gave them cows milk straight away. I remember my ped telling me it's a waste of money spending that extra money on toddler formula. It's pretty much the same benefits as cows milk

Wic said at 1 year old and they gave me whole milk until 2 years old now she drinks low fat milk. Whole milk is suppose to help them for the first year extra nutrients is what they said.
